Our History
Richard Clift, the founder of Signature Kitchens NY, boasts an impressive career in the kitchen and bath industry spanning over two decades. His journey began as a skilled carpenter, where he gathered extensive experience in cabinet and furniture manufacturing. This hands-on experience paved the way for his transition into kitchen design, which began in 1978.
In 1980, Richard further broadened his scope by introducing Neff cabinetry to the New York metropolitan area, a move that was welcomed with enthusiastic reception. Richard's talent in design and high-quality craftsmanship have earned him recognition and accolades both locally and nationally.
For over 25 years, Signature Kitchens, under Richard's astute leadership, has been delivering top-tier kitchen designs to the tri-state area. Richard leverages his extensive background in design, woodworking, and manufacturing to create functional, timeless, and inviting culinary spaces that meet each client's needs. His keen eye for quality and innovation led him to introduce Neff Cabinetry to the metropolitan area in 1980, setting a high benchmark in the industry.
Over the years, Signature Kitchens has grown to partner with a multitude of international cabinetry manufacturers, resulting in an array of award-winning designs. These collaborations have further expanded their portfolio, with works featured in numerous reputable publications such as Architectural Digest, Metropolitan, Better Homes and Gardens, New York, and Veranda, among others.
